A BEAUTY mark has been pummeled by fans for its “hostile” and “absolutely unsatisfactory” eyeliner name.
Smith and Cult, which was established by American Dineh Mohajer – the brains behind hit 90s make-up mark Hard Candy – is loading an eyeliner in the UK called Wax Spastic.
YouTube star Talonted Lex shared a photo of the item on Twitter, and expressed: “What number of individuals saw and endorsed the name ‘Wax Spastic’ for your new eyeliner, @SmithandCult? Truly staggered.”
While the term is frequently utilized as slang for awkwardness in the US, it has disparaging significance in Britain and has been eradicated from pop culture.
A BBC study in 2003 found that “spastic” was the second most hostile term in the UK identifying with an incapacity.
